Boilermakers Boudia, Miller Lead U.S. Divers At AT&T Grand Prix

Boudia scored 28.5 points through three competitions and was the second highest scoring diver at last weekend's meet.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Incoming Boilermaker freshman David Boudia scored 28.5 points and was the second-highest scoring individual diver at last weekend's AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix meet in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

The Noblesville, Indiana, native placed fourth on tower with 465.20 points, and with partner Thomas Finchum, placed second in the synchronized platform competition and seventh in 3-meter synchro.

Boudia's individual point total was one shy from tying Australia's Matthew Helm, who won the synchro platform crown with Robert Newbery.

Helm and Newbery scored 443.04 points to Boudia's and Finchum's 437.52 points.

Former Boilermaker Amanda Miller totaled nine points for the Red, White and Blue as she and partner Christina Loukas earned a fourth-place score of 300.90 points in 3-meter synchro.

Team USA dominated the team scoring on both the men's and women's side as the rosters combined for four silvers and one bronze medal during the four-day meet.

The American men scored 110 points, beating second-place Australia by 31 points. The American women beat the Chinese by 17 points.
