BETHEL, Maine - The Babson College men's alpine ski team wrapped up its fourth appearance at the USCSA National Championships at Sunday River on Friday, as the Beavers placed 15th in the slalom event. The final combined team and individual standings are not yet available.

After earning Second Team All-American honors in the GS on Thursday, junior co-captain John Roche stumbled a bit in his first slalom run, placing 79th overall. However, he bounced back with an outstanding second run to move up to 46th place in the event.

Also performing well in the slalom were first-years Keith Vella and Max Winthrop. Vella finished 51st overall with two solid runs, while Winthrop moved all the way up to 72nd after a tough start that landed him 96th after one run.
