Four Babson Skiers Post Top Slalom Finish At Pat's Peak

Men finish fifth overall at Brown Carnival; women place eighth.

HENNIKER, N.H. - Four different Babson College skiers recorded their best slalom finish of the year on Saturday, as the Beavers competed at the Brown Carnival at Pat's Peak. The men once again finished fifth overall, while the women placed eighth.

Junior co-captain John Roche led the men's team with a 12th-place performance - his best in the slalom and his second best overall this season. First-year Max Winthrop followed in 20th place, and sophomore Chris Jacobs posted his finest effort of 2008 by coming in 22nd overall - six places better than his previous best.

First-year Keith Vella checked in at 26th overall for Babson, while junior co-captain Kevin Fusick and sophomore Connor Lemenze also posted top-30 finishes by taking 28th and 29th, respectively. Rookie Enrico Palmerino rounded out the Beavers' line up in 61st place.

On the women's side, first-year Alyssa Sullivan continued her magnficient skiing of late with another stellar effort, as she finished 17th overall - her second straight top-20 peformance and her best slalom result of the year. She was followed by classmate Alexis Burton in 30th place and senior captain Jess Cohen in 49th - her best slalom effort and second best overall this winter. Completing the Beavers' lineup were first-year Catherine Mills in 63rd, sophomore Tahira Adatia in 70th, and first-year Victoria Tanous in 72nd.
