COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State rifle team lost 4,542 to 4,467 to Akron in a home meet Saturday. The Buckeye scarlet team shot 2,215 in smallbore and 2,252 in air rifle. Akron posted a 2,249 in smallbore rifle and 2,293 in air rifle. OSU's Kelly Lake (Jr., Harrison, Ohio) scored a team-high 573 in air rifle for the Buckeyes while Staci Collins (So., Waterford, Ohio) and Steven Nozaki (So., Hilo, Hawaii) shared team-high honors in smallbore rifle at 559. Akron's Julie DeBrita posted a 578 in smallbore rifle and she and Megan Reinking shared team-high honors in air rifle at 577.

Ohio State will next host Morehead State, Sunday, Nov. 19.
