CSTV's record-setting September carried through its entire network of websites, as the company served over 6.4 million unique users, an increase of 48% from the prior month [August] and nearly 30% from September, 2004 - the greatest increases of any major online sports network - putting CSTV.com into a virtual tie with SI.COM (Sports Illustrated's website] and ahead of AOL Sports, Sportsline and NASCAR in the Top 10. Additionally, the company's 150 million page views in September, an increase of 33% over the prior year, also set a new monthly record. Notwithstanding the dramatic traffic increase, the network was able to maintain its unique demographic profile as the Number One sports site on the Internet for those with post-grad degrees and those in executive or managerial positions.
Aside from record traffic and subscription growth, CSTV also set an all-time September record for online retail sales, with over $1 million in college sports merchandise sales. Top contributors were the company's online stores for Notre Dame Fighting Irish, USC Trojan and North Carolina Tarheel merchandise.
