Week of September 25: Hank Baskett School: University of New Mexico Position: Wide Receiver Year: Senior Sport: Football Major: General Management |

Hank Baskett is a big guy which may be why he makes big plays no matter what the sport. Baskett, at 6-4, is one of the most feared receivers in the Mountain West and he's proved why so far this season. The senior caught four touchdown passes in the Lobos first three games and while be couldn't find the end zone in his teams loss to UTEP on CSTV Saturday night he did catch six balls for 66 yards. The football field is not the only place he stands out. In 2004 he was the Mountain West Conference outdoor high jump champion and a two-time NCAA Midwest Regional Qualifier. Off the field Baskett is majoring in General Management where he earned conference All-Academic honors with a 3.04 GPA. |
