Week of February 26: Scott Parse School: University of Nebraska-Omaha Sport: Hockey Class: Junior Position: Forward Major: Business |
![]() |
When you think of college hockey, Nebraska-Omaha may not be the first place that comes to mind, but Scott Parse is doing his best to change that. Parse leads the nation in points (59), assists (40) and is 14th in goals with 19. He has also led the Mavericks to a No. 10 national ranking and last weekend registered three assists as UNO managed a tie and a win at home against powerhouse Michigan. The Mavericks are currently fourth in the CCHA standings, and seventh in the PairWise rankings, which determine which teams get at-large bids to the NCAA tournament. Having recorded a ten-game unbeaten streak before being stunned by last-place Western Michigan in their final regular season game, the Mavericks should be one of the hotter teams in the country heading into the postseason. |
