Week of January 15: Quanitra Hollingsworth School: Virginia Commonwealth University Sport: Basketball Position: Center Class: Freshman Major: Computer Engineering Hometown: Chesapeake, VA |

Say hello to the youngest player in the NCAA, and don’t think for a second that her age will affect her play. Quanitra Hollingsworth has always been ahead of the game. She skipped 5th and 6th grade, entered high school at the age of eleven, and graduated (with honors) at the age of 15. She enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth and sat out her freshman year due to her tender age. Now, though, at the ripe old age of 17, Hollingsworth is proving more then ready for her level of competition. Hollingsworth, who is majoring in computer engineering with a minor in computer science, is averaging a double-double in her first year (12.9 points and 10.6 rebounds) and has led the Rams to an 8-4 start. |
