Jim Calhoun cuts down the net after UConn's 82-73 win over Georgia Tech.
On the day that he officially learned that he had missed making the Basketball Hall of Fame by one vote, Jim Calhoun picked up a pretty good consolation prize: his second national championship. Emeka Okafor was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after scoring 24 points and getting 15 rebounds in the Huskies' 82-73 victory over Georgia Tech, while Ben Gordon provided balance by adding 21 points from the perimeter.
